Dou lamp blessing

Each item in the dou lamp — lamp, rice, parasol, scales, sword, mirror, ruler, scissors — carries a meaning: family peace, clarity of spirit, prosperity and protection.

When: Mid 7th lunar month (Pudu ritual) and the 9th day of the 9th lunar month (the Marshal's feast day)
Register online: At the temple

How to take part

Online: prayer lamps and incense-oil offerings can be registered and paid for on the temple's existing booking site (in Chinese).
In person: at the service counter in the temple.
By phone: call the temple and the staff will explain.

Fees for each item are announced by the temple each year. Please ask at the temple or by phone.
