Guanyin

"She who perceives the sounds of the world", one of the four great bodhisattvas.

Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, is venerated for hearing the cries of the world. She is enshrined in the Guanyin hall.

Three days in the lunar year are kept for her: her birth (2nd month, 19th day), her enlightenment (6th month, 19th day) and her renunciation (9th month, 19th day). Only the first is listed below.
